Cougar Town

Probably one of the best new tv show this year. Cougar Town is funny and sweet, well written and with incredible actors. The comedy is genuine and hilarious, there are no boring moments and every second fits perfectly in the story. Each character is well described and played: Courteney Cox is just brilliant and the role of the new divorced-still young and beautiful woman and mother is perfect for her; the best friend and neighbor Christa Miller comes straight from Scrubs giving her best as the bitch but sweet woman, as always; Josh Hopkins is handsome and sweet and unconventional as usual; and finally the amazing Dan Byrd (already seen in the very nice Aliens in America show) rises up as a new and fantastic actor. I strongly recommend Cougar Town!

United States of Tara

Amazing show with the outstanding Toni Collette. It's just incredible how she can play so many different characters. Of course they're kind of stereotyped, but that's exactly what you expect from a Multiple Personalities Disorder. The writing is brilliant. From one side in fact it shows how interesting and weird, and also sometimes funny, this very particular kind of disorder is, but on the other side it also shows how difficult, for both the affected person and their family, the every day life is. Main characters are well played, especially Marshall and the character of Max, the husband, is so sweet and tender towards Tara and the alters. His behaviour indicates a deep love for the family, and even with the simplicity of his personality he always try to make things better, showing how hard it is, but at the same time not impossible.
I highly recommend this show!

Justice

Justice is probably the best legal show I've ever seen and I definitely do not understand why they didn't make a second season. Each episode has a very interesting case and everything is explained with incredible rationality and clearness. While many others legal drama are based most of all on the human case of the episode or the relationships between the characters, Justice is focused on the legal procedure of the trail, it's like being behind the scenes of the court. More over the characters are well mixed and played in an amazing way. No surprises considering the cast (Victor Garber, Kerr Smith, Rebecca Mader and Eamonn Walker) and of course the great producer Jerry Bruckheimer. Excellent show.

Harper's island

When I started whatching this tv show I thought it was not so bad after all. The first episodes are interesting and misterious and you want to discover more about all these murders. The expectations are kept high. And in my opinion it was the only good thing to do because for the rest, the show is not great: characters are pretty much all flat and without personality, the stories are meaningless and sometimes even silly, and when you finally discover who the killer is, episode by episode you just lose interest and you even start wondering why you are watching the show. The final episodes have been painfull to watch and the conclusion of the story is completely out of reality. I have to admit though that during the episodes it was hard to understand who the killer was: that has probably been the only great part of the show.

How I met your mother - 4x24 - The leap

An enjoyable episode for this forth season finale. We now have another hint about Ted's future wife: she is in fact in Ted's class. I really hope in the next season we find out who she is because by now I'm too curious.
Eventually Barney does his move with Robin and the scene is simply great. I'm sure funny and awesome things will happen between the two.
I would have liked a nicer story for the Goat, because they talked about this Goat so many times and I guess the expectations were too high, but yet it has been another funny moment.
The last scene is amazing and that leap on the roof opened many doors for this incredible show.

To everyone: have a legen - wait for it - dary summer! :-D

Eli Stone - 2x13 - Flight path

For the very first time I had the chance to watch an episode of an american tv show before the americans! In fact this episode of Eli Stone has been on italian television before time because of the decision to cut the show in the USA.
I don't know if it is going to be the series finale or if they eventually decide it is worthed to produce more epiosdes. Anyway it was a very nice episode. Eli takes a difficult case about heart transplant: the parents of a dying girl decide not to give their daughter's heart to a very sick woman who needs it, because of religion contrasts. Eli helps the woman to get the heart after he saw her in one of his vision. Unfortunately she will not survive.
In his visions Eli also sees that someone he really cares about will die in a plane crash. He tries to avoid the terrible accident and eventually he does it, but he ends up in the hospital because of one of his two aneurysms. In the end everyone is safe, Taylor and Matt are going to get married soon and Jordan is trying to fix things between him and Taylor's mother. Maggie is next to Eli in the hospital and a door is left open for the two of them. The future is still unknown and God's plans for what will happen aren't reveiled yet.

Eli Stone

I have started watching Eli Stone just few days ago because a friend of mine told me it was a very nice show, and since then all I have done has been watch episode by episode no stop. All this just to say that Eli Stone is a great show. The fact that a very serious medical condition can be used with such interesting prospective is the point of strenght of the program. A weird lawyer with visions sent by God and all the great characters around him create every time a wonderful case and incredible stories. Funny moments and life problems together with faith and trust issues are well mixed for a great result.

Chuck - 2x22 - Chuck versus the ring

It was a season finale full of amazing moments and it turned out as an excellent episode. Finally the wedding! We couldn't wait anymore. And finally those pretty intense moments between Chuck and Sarah, Brice that I really hope is not going to show up again because he makes trouble all the time, and the incredible Casey! That man rocked in this episode! After two lousy years at the Buymore Chuck and Morgan quit: great decision.
At some point it seemed that everything would eventually be "normal" in Chuck's live, but then again the very unlucky guy as to deal with the Intersect. And now he also has special kung fu powers! Best quote of 2009 seasons finale: Guys, I know kung fu!
